I don’t even watch the show really, but I secretly think Pauly is the funniest
Moveless
dearoldlove:
If I had any moves, I would have used them on you that night on the couch.
Just watched Black Swan, and it’s kind of terrifying, in the way that it’s every paranoid person’s worst nightmare. Ever wonder if you’re dreaming parts of your life…kind of like inception, where your dream life goes faster than your real life…so things just feel like an extended dream? That’s what this movie felt like, but a prolonged nightmare. Anyway,...
In silence and alone; yet most people prefer to see everything in groups,...

He felt now that he was not simply close to her, but that he did not know where...

I read somewhere that everybody on this planet is separated by only six other...
– Six Degrees of Separation, 1993 (via quote-book)
When you translate a word, you can never really guarantee that a word’s true meaning will be translated as well. When you attempt to translate a person, in the end, that person’s true meaning can never really be understood.

You taught me never to date someone so good looking they never had an awkward phase.

Doing dope stuff. In a dope environment.
No Side-Hugs!
dearoldlove:
Those side-hugs just don’t count as hugs to me.
There are so many ways for a hug to go wrong, weird face to face contact… do you put both of your hands up or down, one hand up one hand down? But the side hug is such a cop-out. I’ll take weird over lame.

The Year of Living Biblically
After a few days on my Caribbean cruise, I finished my own reading material and moved onto the cruise’s “library” to find this gem amongst the uninteresting (while i’m sure poetic) classics like Dostoevsky. It’s actually pretty fascinating and hilarious. After growing up in a incredibly secular family, the author, A.J. Jacobs decides to spend the first eight...

Responses to sneezing →
bestofwikipedia:
Various alleged but conflicting superstitions relating the sneeze to evil spirits. This includes beliefs that a sneeze could release one’s soul, thus leading to its possible capture by lurking evil spirits or that the evil spirits could enter the body through the open mouth of a sneezing individual, or that the individual is sneezing out sins or evil spirits which had taken...
You do not have a soul, you are a soul. You have a body.

Mutual Non-understanding
dearoldlove:
Obviously, you don’t understand the nature of my feelings for you. That’s okay. I don’t always either.
I’m a cry baby when it comes to sad books, television shows, movies…I can’t help it, I feel what these characters feel. But clearly, there times where I really cry, for myself, for things that are real…and I don’t think there’s any shame in that. It doesn’t make me weaker for exposing that I have emotions, or that I’m hurt by something. Dualities...
